How much will an unarranged overdraft cost?
An unarranged overdraft occurs when your current account balance goes below zero without a prior agreement with the bank to borrow that amount.
Interest Charges
- Interest will be charged if you go overdrawn without arranging it with us first.
- We do not charge usage fees for overdrafts.
- The interest rate varies depending on your current account.
- Representative rate: 39.49% EAR (variable).
Unpaid Transaction Fee
- A fee of £1.55 applies when we return a transaction unpaid.
- A transaction (e.g., Direct Debit) may be returned if:
- There are insufficient funds in your account or unused arranged overdraft facility.
- We decide, at our discretion, not to make the payment.
Monthly Charging Cap
You will not be charged more than £18.80 in a monthly charging period for:
- An unarranged overdraft.
- Any unpaid transactions.
