All Rewards offers are subject to the retailers’ terms, conditions and exclusions. 

Once you’ve earned them, you’ve got options how to spend them. And this is where our Rewards are so versatile. You can either:

Bank them

Simply convert them into money and it goes into your bank account.

Trade up

Convert your Rewards into gift cards from the selected partner retailers - sometimes you’ll even get gift cards of a greater value.

Donate to charity

Use your Rewards to make a charitable donation to one of our selected charities.

Usually, there is an annual fee with this credit card, but if you have our Reward Black current account you won't pay this annual fee.

What you should know

If you don’t have a Reward Black current account, we’ll charge a £84 annual fee when you first use your Reward Black credit card account (for example, by making a purchase or a balance transfer) and then each following year on the anniversary of that date.

There are several ways you can pay your credit card. The most common is setting up a Direct Debit. Once you’ve set it up, the payment will be taken automatically each month. You can choose to pay the minimum amount, the minimum payment plus, a fixed amount or your full credit balance every month. 

You can also make a payment in the mobile app or Online Banking.

If you do not hold a NatWest current account you can also pay your Credit Card from another UK bank account using Open Banking (Payit) via the mobile app or, if you wish you can arrange payment by direct debit, via Online or Telephone Banking with your current account.

Our repayment calculator will show you how much faster you might be able to clear your credit card balance if you pay more than the minimum amount.

What you should know

If you set up a Direct Debit for the minimum, minimum payment plus, fixed or full amount, the payment is claimed 25 calendar days from the statement date, or shortly afterwards.

It’s important to make your payments on time otherwise you could be charged more in interest and it could impact your credit file.

Avoid late payments by setting up a Direct Debit

One simple way of avoiding missing or being late with payments is setting up a Direct Debit. This would mean the payment would be taken automatically on a monthly basis. You can set the Direct Debit to pay the minimum amount, the full balance or a set amount.

Going over your credit limit

It’s important to stay within your credit limit otherwise you could be charged more in interest and it could impact your credit file.

To help you stay within your limit, we will send you a text when you are using 95% of the credit limit. Please ensure your mobile number is up to date so you receive these alerts.

Another simple way to help manage your credit card is by having our Mobile app which means you can log on anywhere, anytime and see what your balance is.

Like most UK credit cards, our range of cards offer 56 days interest free credit on purchases if you pay your balance (and your previous month's balance) in full and on time each month. That means if you want to make a big purchase, for example plane tickets or a new sofa, a credit card could be a good way to help you buy now and spread the cost. 

Instalment Plans

You will need the NatWest mobile app to set up, track and manage an instalment plan. Then, you can repay eligible credit card purchases between £50-£3000 or expired 0% balance transfer offers up to £5000. If instalment plans are available to you, we’ll let you know via our mobile banking app by adding an ‘eligible instalment plan flag’ to your transaction, or as a notification when your 0% balance transfer offer has expired.

With an instalment plan, you can:

• Choose if you want to pay us back over 3, 6, 12 or 24 months.
• Avoid interest and pay a set fee each month instead. The fee could end up being cheaper than your standard credit card interest rate.
• Make an easy repayment budget by avoiding hidden costs.

What you should keep in mind

• Instalment plans are for existing credit card customers only, eligibility criteria and monthly fees apply.
• To be eligible your transaction needs to be either on your latest statement or applied to your account since your last statement was produced. You cannot have a cash balance on your credit card account.
• Your monthly payments and fee will vary according to the size of your purchase and how long you’re taking out the plan for.
• The instalment plan counts as existing credit limit, which means you can’t free up additional funds by moving a purchase to an instalment plan. The instalment plan should be lower than your usual repayment interest on your card.

Apple Pay and Google Pay™ allow you to make a contactless payment in shops, because all your card details are securely stored within your device. Just touch your device to the card reader and hey presto! Payment made.

Apple Pay is available on selected Apple devices.

Adding an additional cardholder is a good way to give a loved one access to your credit card account, providing they are aged 18 years or over. It won’t change how your card works, but it could be a flexible way of sharing access to your account.

How does it work?

The additional cardholder can use the card as normal, but the main cardholder has complete control over the account and can cancel their access at any time. If you request this service as part of your application, we’ll post their card to you. 

What you should know

• The main cardholder will continue to be liable for all spending on the account - including any spending by the additional cardholder - and for making monthly payments on time.
• Additional cardholders must be 18+ and a UK resident.
• You can add up to three in total, but only one as part of your application.

We want to make managing your credit card simple and safe. If you’ve misplaced your credit card, you can lock and unlock it in the app. You can also request a PIN reminder or unblock your PIN through the app. This feature applies to Mastercard credit cards only.

You can use the mobile app to check your balance, set a daily or monthly budget and lock certain transaction types. If you accidentally go over budget, we’ll send you a notification as a handy reminder. Managing your credit card in the app is easy too – you can pay your balance, set up a direct debit, change your credit limit and lots more.

Want to stay on top of your financial health? View your credit score and some of the key details that help to calculate it for free in the app by going to your Profile. You can check it as often as you like with no impact on your credit score. Credit score is available once opted in through the app, to customers aged 18+ with a UK address, and is provided by TransUnion.

On the iPhone you can order a replacement for a lost or damaged credit card straight from the app. Select your credit card, tap ‘Manage my card’, then tap ‘Report lost, stolen or damaged’. It’s that simple.

Off on your next trip? Try registering your travel plans through the app. This way, your card transactions are less likely to be flagged as suspicious or blocked while you’re abroad. Each travel plan can include up to seven countries and last for 90 days. You can create one travel plan at a time.
