When will money paid in at a branch be available?
Money paid in at a branch will be available under the following guidelines:
Cash
- Over the counter : Credit entry immediate - Funds available immediately
- CDM (Cash & Deposit Machine) : Credit entry immediate Funds available within 2 minutes
- Quick Deposit envelopes : Credit entry immediate Funds available by close of business
Cheques
Paper clearing cheques
- Over the counter : Credit entry on next working day - Funds usually available after transaction date plus 4 days.
- CDM (Cash & Deposit Machine) : Credit entry on next working day - Funds usually available after transaction date plus 4 days.
- Quick Deposit envelopes : Credit entry on next working day - Funds usually available after transaction date plus 4 days.
Image clearing cheques
- Over the counter : Funds credited to account the following business day.
- CDM (Cash & Deposit Machine) : Funds credited to account the following business day if paid in before 3.30pm.
- Quick Deposit envelopes : Funds credited to account the following business day.
Mixed cash and cheques
- Over the counter : Credit entry on next working day - Cash available immediately. Cheque usually available after transaction date plus 4 days for paper clearing cheques or funds available the following business day for image clearing cheques.
- CDM (Cash & Deposit Machine) : Credit entry on next working day - Cash available immediately. Cheque usually available after transaction date plus 4 days for paper clearing cheques or funds available the following business day for image clearing cheque if paid in before 3.30pm.
- Quick Deposit envelopes : Credit entry on next working day - Cash available by close of business. Cheque usually available after transaction date plus 4 days for paper clearing cheques or funds available the following business day for image clearing cheques.
