These are text messages, push notifications or emails sent to you if you have a personal current account with an arranged overdraft limit so you can take action to minimise or avoid debit interest.

They are sent by 12 noon on business days to give you an opportunity to pay in cleared funds and avoid/minimize debit interest.
You are automatically enrolled for text Arranged Overdraft Alerts if you have a valid mobile number when you:
Via the mobile app, Online Banking, contacting telephony or a branch.
You can opt in /out of alerts (including email alerts) via the mobile app, Online Banking, telephony or branch.
If you turn your Arranged Overdraft Alerts off you won’t be notified that your account is in its arranged overdraft, will go into its arranged overdraft or has been in its arranged overdraft yesterday.
You will only be sent one Arranged Overdraft Alert on any day for an account.
The alert is sent based on the account position at 6am, so any transactions coming off after this time and/or credits being made are not known about at 6am.

Arranged Overdraft Alerts will never ask you to contact a specific number, email anyone or transfer funds. You can also check your account balance to see that the alert is accurate.
