Will cheques paid into and paid from a deceased account still be honoured?
Cheques Paid Out
If a cheque issued by the deceased is presented after we've been told about the bereavement, it won't be paid out. We'll return the cheque to the person who was supposed to receive the money.
Cheques Paid In
Cheques that need to be paid into the deceased's account will usually need to go into a dedicated account set up by the person handling the deceased's affairs. This is called an Executors Account.
