How can I register a Power of Attorney (POA) with you if I live overseas?
Registering online
You can register your Power of Attorney (POA) online by completing the online form on our Power of Attorney page and sending us:
- Your full POA document or your LPA code (an LPA access code lets you share your Power of Attorney Online. The code is 13 characters long and starts with the letter V. This service is only for LPA documents registered in England and Wales.)
- Any supporting documents
Once we receive your eForm and POA document or LPA code, you’ll get an email from our trusted security partner, Mitek to allow us to confirm your identity. You’ll need to:
- Take a selfie
- Upload photo ID
- Upload proof of address (if asked)
Access the online form and guidance on our Power of Attorney page.
Useful information
- Make sure you include all parts of the POA document.
- For more details, our Power of Attorney page.
- Once we have all the required information, it can take up to 10 working days to add a POA to your account.
