Sometimes it’s handy to have cash on you when abroad, however getting money from a cashpoint abroad can come with charges. You’ll most likely be charged a non-sterling transaction fee.

Switch to NatWest

The Current Account Switch Service will do all the work when it comes to switching, moving everything across from your old account to your new account all within 7 working days, including Direct Debits and standing orders. All you need to do is tell us the details of your old bank account and when you want the Switch to start.

We can not switch savings accounts or ISAs through this service. Any other products you have with your old bank will not be moved at the same time.

Before we begin your application for a Reward Silver account, we need to do a few final checks with you. First things first. You can apply if you:

  • are aged 18 or over and a UK resident
  • already have a NatWest current account

  • The account number and sortcode of the current account you want to change. You can find these in your app/online banking.

  • The account number, sort code and debit card number of the bank account you want to switch to NatWest
  • The account number and sort code of your existing NatWest current account

The Current Account Switch Service will move everything across from your old bank account to your NatWest current account within 7 working days.
