If your bank is part of the Current Account Switching Service (CASS) they'll organise the switch for you. If not, keep reading and find out how you can switch.

We've provided some helpful steps below that you can follow to get everything moved across to us.

You won't be eligible for our switch incentives if your old bank isn't part of the Current Account Switch Service and you aren't covered by the Current Account Switch Service Guarantee.

As your old bank isn't signed up for the Current Account Switch Service, we've provided some helpful steps below that you can follow to get everything moved across to us.

If you're a new customer, you'll need to open a new account with us first. Take a look at our range of current accounts and choose one that's right for you.

Move your balance and close your account

You can transfer your balance from your old bank to NatWest at any time. You'll just need your new sort code and account number.
Once you've set up all of your payments and moved everything across to us, you can go ahead and close your old account, you're all done!
If you'd prefer for us to help you switch, you can chat to Cora, our digital assistant, by simply asking about 'manual switching'. Just a heads-up, this will take longer than if you do the switch yourself as we have to wait for your old bank to get back to us.
