If you regularly use your Charge Card, you’ll need to make alternative arrangements for payments before your account closes.
There isn’t a direct replacement for a Charge Card, but you may wish to consider other ways to pay, for example:
- Debit cards – where you spend money directly from your bank account.
- Credit cards – where you borrow money and choose how to repay it, subject to terms.
These options work differently from a Charge Card, so it’s important to understand how they operate. For example, a credit card does not require full repayment each month, although some customers choose to set up a Direct Debit to pay the full balance. If you don’t pay your credit card balance in full, you will incur interest. Cash withdrawals or cash‑like transactions may also incur interest and fees from the date of the transaction.
If you don’t already have an alternative way to pay, you can explore options using our borrowing needs tool, or speak to our customer services team or visit a branch. There’s no obligation to take out another product with us.
Please note, applying for credit options with us or other lenders requires an application and credit checks. If you’ve missed payments, this may affect your application. Other products may also have different limits, fees and interest rates.
