NatWest Rugby World Cup Prize Draw Terms and Conditions

Eligibility

Prize Draw open to National Westminster Bank plc (“NatWest”) and The Royal Bank of Scotland plc (“RBS”) credit card holders (“cardholders”) who are aged 18 or over and are UK residents. Excludes Northern Ireland. Draw not open to employees of The NatWest Group of companies, their families or anyone associated with this draw. By entering the promotion, entrants agree to these terms. These terms apply in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials.

Entry requirements

To enter, cardholders must register interest via the email or in-app link and then complete a Qualifying Purchase either in store or online on a NatWest or RBS credit card between 00:00 on 23rd May 2023 and 23:59 on 30th June 2023 (“the Promotional Period”). Each additional Qualifying Purchase completed during the Promotional Period counts as one entry into the Prize Draw.

Qualifying Purchases are defined as goods and services bought using the credit card, excluding any gambling transactions. ATM and other non-ATM cash withdrawals, buying emoney or foreign currency, money transfers, balance transfers and refunded transactions do not qualify as Qualifying Purchases.

No purchase necessary – if a cardholder would like to participate without making a purchase during the Promotional Period, the cardholder must mail their full name, date of birth, telephone number, email address, first line of address and postcode to: FAO Alexandra Knight, RE: Rugby World Cup Prize Draw, RBS Gogarburn, 175 Glasgow Road, Edinburgh, EH12 1HQ. All postal entries must be received during the Promotional Period to be entered into the Prize Draw. Entries are not limited to one per person.

Entries not submitted in accordance with these rules, delayed, damaged, incomplete, altered, or illegible will be disqualified. NatWest and RBS accept no responsibility for entries lost, delayed, or damaged in the post. Proof of posting or sending by e-mail will not be accepted as proof of entry.

Entries will not count if the cardholder’s credit card is closed during the Promotional Period. Only the Qualifying Purchases made from an account that is open at the end of the Promotional Period will be entered into the Prize Draw.

- The prizes are as stated and nothing else is included. All other costs and expenses in taking up a prize e.g., additional spending money, food, drinks, telephone charges, room service, souvenirs and any other incidental expenses are the winners' and guests' own responsibility. 

- Flights and accommodation subject to availability. 

- The winner and their guest are responsible for ensuring they comply with all the local laws which apply in the country they are travelling to. 

- Failure to be able to travel during this time will result in the prize being forfeited and the Promoter may at its absolute discretion dispose of the prize without liability to the winner.

Winner Selection and Notification

The winners and reserves list will be drawn at random before the 14th July 2023 and contacted by email and/or telephone within 7 days of the draw taking place. Winners will have 7 days from initial contact to accept, otherwise the promotor will move on to a reserve winner.

- The winners and their guests must hold valid passports with at least 6 months’ validity remaining after the return date. Passports, any required visas and adequate travel insurance are the responsibility and cost of the prize winners and their guests. Proof of such travel documentation and insurance may be required prior to departure. The Promoter cannot be held responsible if the winner or their guest fails to obtain suitable travel insurance or other documentation required to travel.

General

- Prize packages (and associated tickets) are personal to the winners and the sale or offering for sale, transfer, resale, donation, or exchange of any tickets and/or part of any of the prize packages is strictly prohibited (including, without limitation, in person or online via an online auction website or online ticket resale marketplace). The Promoter reserves the right to cancel tickets and withdraw or make void any and all prize elements if this term is not complied with.

- Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter and its agents are not liable or responsible for any injury, loss or damage to persons or property arising from or caused by the weather, acts of God, war, accident, pandemic or epidemic and any related government action or any other government restrictions or regulations, or from an act or omission of any individual or condition beyond its control.

- The Promoter will share contact details of the winners (including full name, contact number and email address) with The Big Group Limited (“Agency”), who will administer the prizes on behalf of the Promoter. A copy of their privacy policy can be found here.

- Details on how to book will be given to the winner once selected.

- If fulfilment or any element of this promotion will be delayed or affected due to the continuing COVID 19 pandemic and resulting Government restrictions, all entrants affected will be contacted by the Promoter and kept updated of any unavoidable changes to the promotion dates, revised fulfilment dates or prizes.

- If you live in Scotland, Scots law applies to this Prize Draw, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it. If you live elsewhere, English law applies. If there is a dispute between us, you can take action against us in any UK court.

- A winner's inability to attend will result in the prize being forfeited. The Promoter will not be held responsible for any winner and/or guest not taking advantage of the prize due to health or any other reason.

- There is no cash or other alternative for the prizes in whole or in part except that in the event of circumstances outside of its control, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prizes with one of equal or greater value at the choosing and discretion of the Promoter.

- The Promoter will not accept responsibility for hotels, transport or excursions being unavailable, withdrawn or amended. In the event of this the Promoter or its Agency will endeavour to find a suitable alternative. All travel, accommodation and other products and services provided to the prize winners and their guests will be provided subject to the terms and conditions of each such provider. The Promoter will not have any liability in relation thereto, and any dispute arising from travel, accommodation or services must be taken up with such providers.

- The Promoter will make available the prize winners’ surnames and counties of residence upon request by sending a letter to FAO Alexandra Knight, RE: Rugby World Cup Prize Draw, RBS Gogarburn, 175 Glasgow Road, Edinburgh, EH12 1HQ, within 3 months of the end of the Promotional Period. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse any or all such requests. Entrants can object to disclosure, or request that disclosure be limited in scope by sending a letter to FAO Alexandra Knight, RE: Rugby World Cup Prize Draw, RBS Gogarburn, 175 Glasgow Road, Edinburgh, EH12 1HQ, The Promoter may nevertheless disclose the information to the Advertising Standards Authority if required to do so to indicate that a valid prize award took place.

- The Promoter will keep your information confidential and only share it with others for the purposes explained in these Terms and Conditions and in our Privacy Policy. To deliver the prize we work with carefully selected third parties who carry out services on our behalf. All these third parties have a contract with us and have agreed to keep your personal information confidential and secure and only to use it for the purposes that we allow.

- No person may win more than one prize.

- The Promoter reserves the right to vary these terms and conditions or cancel the prize draw at any stage in the event of circumstances arising beyond its control and only where circumstances make this unavoidable but will use all reasonable endeavours to minimise the effect to participants to avoid undue disappointment.

- Each winner and his/her guest(s) as applicable agree to comply with the terms and conditions applicable to the issue and use of tickets from time to time (as available and set out at https://tickets.rugbyworldcup.com/sites/hubber_site_wrc8/files/inline-files/tcfrance-2023-05.01.2022.pdf) or such other webpage as determined by Rugby World Cup Limited (“RWCL”) from time to time), the tournament organiser (Federation Francaise de Rugby 2023, “FFR2023”) and all applicable venue owner or operator rules and regulations to access Rugby World Cup venues and any other areas associated with Rugby World Cup (including any terms of accreditation determined by RWCL). Further each winner and his/her guest(s) acknowledge that he/she may be required to enter into a direct acknowledgement and/or agreement with RWCL and/or FFR2023 concerning use of the tickets and compliance with ticket terms and conditions prior to receiving the prize.

- Winners and/or guests shall not, while using Rugby World Cup tickets, display or publicise any political slogans or homophobic language, images of a lewd or explicitly sexual nature, images containing logos of competitors and overt brand sponsorship or anything else deemed to ambush marketing or an abuse of the Rugby World Cup, content which is defamatory, obscene, illegal, vulgar, offensive or otherwise unsuitable or infringes others’ rights (including intellectual property rights) or reflects negatively upon any of RWCL or the Rugby World Cup. Each entrant agrees and acknowledges that any breach of this clause will cause significant damage and loss to RWCL.

- The Promoter may pass personal information relating to prize winners to RWCL and/or FFR2023 (and any of their service providers or agents) for the purposes of monitoring the distribution and use of Rugby World Cup tickets and related experiences and, in the event of a suspect breach of any terms and conditions, rules or regulations or RWCL and/or FFR2023 relating to the use of such tickets and/or experiences, investigating and taking action against such winners. - This promotion is run by the Promoter with the permission of RWCL. Accordingly, the Promoter is responsible for the operation of and all matters and concerns relating to the promotion, not RWCL or any other persons involved in staging of Rugby World Cup 2023 (including FFR2023) and World Rugby (formerly the International Rugby Board), all of whom shall not be responsible for or liable to entrants in any way whatsoever in connection with this promotion.

We will use the personal data you provide for the purposes of this Prize Draw only.
