I've just been made Power of Attorney, how can I register this with you?
Registering online
You can register your Power of Attorney (POA) online by completing the online form on our Power of Attorney page and sending us:
- Your full POA document or your LPA code (an LPA access code lets you share your Power of Attoreny Online. The code is 13 characters long and starts with the letter V. This service is only for LPA documents registered in Engalnd and Wales.)
- Any supporting documents
Once we receive your eForm and POA document or LPA code, you’ll get an email from our trusted security partner, Mitek to allow us to confirm your identity. You’ll need to:
- Take a selfie
- Upload photo ID
- Upload proof of address (if asked)

Registering in branch
If you don’t have photo ID or would prefer to register in branch, you can visit one of our UK branches. To do this:
- Complete the Add Power of Attorney to an Account form (PDF, 105KB) before you visit
- Bring the form along with:
The original POA document registered with the Office of Public Guardian or your LPA code
Proof of identity
Proof of address
Any supporting documents
