If you applied Monday to Thursday before 5:30pm, your limit will be applied to your account the next working day. Anytime after this and it will take up to two working days.

You will soon see your overdraft limit alongside your current account. There’s nothing else we need from you to make this happen.

Sometimes we need a bit more information to confirm your identity or to validate your income. You may receive an email and/or text message shortly inviting you to provide this information electronically by uploading it safely and securely via our Digi-Docs online portal.

Alternatively, we’ll also post the request for further documentation. Once received, you can take the requested documents to a NatWest branch or return the documentation in the prepaid envelope provided.

We understand that this may be disappointing. When coming to our decision, we use a process called credit scoring, as well as taking into account any current information that is available to us.
