Business credit card that works for your cashflow

Before you apply for a business credit card, you’ll need the personal details of all  the directors or partners of the business (including their home addresses for the last two years). You’ll also need your basic business details, including your Company’s Registration Number (provided by Companies House) if you’re a limited company. Yes, our business credit card can be used to pay for goods and services or to withdraw cash anywhere in the world. Just look out for the MasterCard logo.

Instead of paying your business credit card balance in full every month, you can just pay the minimum amount by the required date. This is handy if your customers are being slow to pay you.

The minimum payment will be the greater of: £5 or the full balance if less; or that month’s interest, any Default Charges, 1/12th of any annual fee and 3% of the remaining balance (excluding any annual fee). 

What you should know:

If you only pay the minimum payment it will take longer and cost more to clear your balance and there can be a risk of escalating debt, additional interest or charges and of potential financial difficulties.

How to reduce your interest charges:

The best way to reduce interest charges on your business credit card is by repaying as much of your balance as you can afford to each month. Even if you want to stick to the minimum payment you currently make by monthly Direct Debit, you can still make extra payments on top, any time you want. New business credit cards are fee-free in the first year including any additional cards that you may open.  In subsequent years, the annual card fee is waived if you spend £6,000 in the previous year.

The waiver is applied at a card level based on the assessment of spend on that particular card. Spend can't be combined across cards to qualify for the waiver.

No, there isn’t. The actual cashback you could earn will depend on how much you spend in the eligible categories. 

Any cashback earned is credited to your Business credit card account monthly.
