Their latest webinar was hosted by BBC journalist Geoff White (host of The Lazarus Heist podcast), alongside NCC Group’s CEO, Mike Maddison.

They discussed how businesses and public sector organisations can strike a balance between security risks and budgetary demands, and how organisations should be tackling cyber insurance.

Cyber resilience key takeaways

The panel was asked to share the top three items organisations should focus on in the next 12 months:

  1. Preparation – ensure you have all your security systems in place, you understand your risk appetite, and have a robust incident response plan in place.
  2. Alignment to business objectives – make sure your security posture mirrors the risk appetite of the business and this is communicated to all relevant stakeholders.
  3. Cyber hygiene – make sure you know where all your assets are and get the cyber fundamentals right.
