Keep it in the family

We’ve used our platform last year to showcase the UK’s family enterprises, exploring why they’re a force for good and learning more about their unique values.

There are more than 5m family firms in the UK, employing 14m people and making a vital contribution to the national economy.

Led by the Institute for Family Business (IFB), Family Business Week (22 – 26 November 2021) highlighted the vital role that these special businesses play in supporting their local communities.

Andy Gray, our Managing Director, Head of Corporate and Commercial Coverage, said: “We know that family businesses form a significant part of the UK economy, representing nearly 30% of UK economic output and employing more than 50% of all those working in the private sector. It’s hugely important.”
