Life Insurance
Life Insurance pays out a sum of money if, while you’re insured, you die or are diagnosed as terminally ill. The payment could help clear a mortgage or provide financial support for your family.
Choose the amount of cover you need, how long it will last and whether the policy covers you or you and your partner.
Available to customers aged 18 to 77 at the time of applying. Critical Illness Cover can only be purchased with a Life Insurance policy.
Over 50s
Over 50s is a single-person life insurance policy for people aged 50 to 80.
Choose the amount of cover you want or the amount you would like to pay each month. You can hold more than one Aviva Over 50s life insurance policy with us, provided your combined monthly premiums do not exceed £100.
When life insurance may be relevant
Life insurance can help protect the financial position of the people who matter to you. It may be relevant whether you are building your financial commitments, supporting a family or considering the legacy you want to leave.
Life Insurance is available to customers aged 18 and over. You can also consider adding Critical Illness Cover, which covers 52 illnesses.
Why consider life insurance?
If you die while covered, life insurance can provide a lump sum to help your family manage financial commitments such as:
- Mortgage or rent payments
- Household bills
- Childcare and everyday living costs
- Outstanding debts or other financial commitments
It could provide financial support for the people who depend on you at a difficult time.
When might you review your life insurance needs?
Your protection needs may change as your personal and financial circumstances evolve. You may want to review life insurance when you:
- Buy a home or take out a mortgage
- Take on significant borrowing or other financial commitments
- Move home
- Get married or enter a long-term partnership
- Have children or other dependants
- Experience a change in your health
