NatWest wins “Securitized Derivatives House of the Year” in GlobalCapital European Securitization Awards 2023

Winning this prestigious accolade is testament to NatWest’s expertise and success in providing tailored interest rate hedging for securitisations and warehouse facilities. The award is particularly meaningful in the year that saw rates rising dramatically and interest rate volatility return in force, resulting in Corporates and Financial Institutions experiencing levels of interest rate ‘stress’ unprecedented in recent markets. Those market conditions led to a notable increase in focus on interest rate hedging.

We are proud that the voters recognised the strength of the three pillars that make up the foundation of our interest rate hedging solutions for securitisations:

  1. Our dedicated structuring and trading teams who deliver valuable market & product insights as well as high-quality transaction and execution support based on their extensive securitisation hedging experience.
  2. Our broad product set, developed over many years, that allows us to provide tailored solutions for customers, such as Balance Guaranteed Swaps, our innovative Rate Hold product and Perfect Asset Swaps.
  3. Our Automated Treasury Solutions (“ATS”) platform that allows us to offer an automated hedging platform to our Sponsor and Specialist Lender customers, reducing operational burden and encouraging long-term partnerships.

Dominic Jameson, Head of Securitisation and Portfolio Derivative Structuring, NatWest, commented: “We are thrilled to have won this prestigious award, and we thank everyone who voted for us, recognising our commitment and capabilities to support our customers with insights, tailored and innovative interest rate hedging solutions, and, equally important, with the provision of automated services.”

Kam Sidhu, Head of Securitisation & Portfolio Derivative Trading, NatWest,
said: “We are very pleased to be recognised as GlobalCapital’s Securitized Derivatives House of the Year, particularly over a period of significant market challenges. This award is a strong mandate and motivating force to continue building out our full-service product offering. We continue with our ethos of proactively supporting our diverse customer base with innovative hedging solutions to manage their risks and support the growth of their businesses.”
