Bruce Riley

Head of Energy Transition
Bruce is Head of the Energy Transition team at NatWest, which was set-up in 2022 to help support clients involved in energy transition in the UK and Western Europe. The role involves finding finance solutions across a variety of sectors involved in energy transition including hydrogen, carbon capture, clean buildings, biofuels and waste management, low carbon transport and nuclear.

Bruce has been involved in Infrastructure Finance at NatWest over the last 20 years in a variety of positions, involving advisory, debt capital markets or lending roles. For the 7 years prior to this role, he was Head of Project Finance, a team focussed primarily on providing finance for the development of renewable energy generation. Over that time the team grew considerably to become a leading project finance lender to the UK energy sector.

Prior to joining the bank, he trained as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG.
