Helping to develop the UK care home market

Investing in the future of care homes

Selba Care is a newly-established vehicle, set-up by AcalisCare, that’s focussed on acquiring and investing in care home groups across the UK. The first of these acquisitions is Balhousie Care Group, which consists of 28 well-invested care homes, operating in the elderly and specialist care space, that are located in clusters across central and eastern Scotland.

NatWest structures financing package

After approaching NatWest for support with the Balhousie acquisition, Selba Care and NatWest worked closely on the financing package that would not only fund the Balhousie deal but support Selba’s long-term business growth strategy too.

Selba Care’s first UK acquisition a major milestone

Lieven Baten, Selba Care, commented: “We are thrilled to have completed our first UK care home acquisition, which marks a major milestone of our growth strategy, and we thank the NatWest team for their guidance and for structuring a tailored financing package which will help us grow in the UK.”

Chris Lewis, NatWest, said: “We’re genuinely excited to be helping develop the UK care home market through this loan to our new customer, Selba Care.  We are also delighted to be working with the Selba team to support their future growth plans.”
