Rui Zu

Vice President, ESG Advisory
Rui supports NatWest’s corporate customers by providing tailored ESG advice across a breadth of areas, such as: structuring sustainable debt instruments (which includes loans, private placements and bonds), ESG ratings management, benchmarking corporate sustainability strategies and disclosures, and engaging with external ESG stakeholders.

Rui was previously a manager in the Sustainable Finance Consulting team at Ernst & Young (EY) in London, where she supported financial institutions in ESG Disclosure, ESG Due Diligence, ESG Data Framework and ESG Ratings. Before that, Rui worked at Inenco in the Solutions team, where she helped corporate and financial services clients enhance their energy management, sustainability strategies and disclosures.

Joined the Bank: August, 2022

Education:

Rui holds a (1st Class) Bachelor of Arts in Accounting & Finance from the De Montfort University and Master of Science in Carbon Finance from the University of Edinburgh. Rui also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) ESG Investing and Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) Sustainability and Climate Risk certification.
