How to get £150

1. Open a current account with us  

Apply for a Select or Reward account and request to switch your bank account to us using the Current Account Switch Service.

2. Within 60 days of switching

• Pay in £1,250 - This can be made of multiple payments and must remain in the account for 24 hours.
• Log in to our mobile app - This can be done on any device that supports the NatWest mobile banking app.

3. You're all set

When you've met these conditions, we'll pay £150 into your eligible account within 30 days. 

How to unlock our bonus rate

Once you've opened your current account, you must open a Digital Regular Saver by 16 June 2026. To be eligible for the bonus rate, you need complete your switch to us.

• 7% AER 
  This includes 5.25% / 5.13% AER/Gross p.a. (variable) on balances up to £5k, plus a conditional bonus of 1.75% AER (fixed) for 12 months. Interest paid monthly.
• 1.00% AER/Gross p.a. (variable) on balances over £5,000.

There’s no need to wait for your £150 incentive to be paid.

Interest rate examples:

Interest is calculated on a daily basis and paid into your accoount on the first business day of the month. You'll be able to see and access the interest in your account on the following day.

This is only an illustration of what you could save and assumes that no further deposits or withdrawals are made, that there aren’t any changes to interest rates or tiers, and any interest earned stays in the account.

The standard interest rate on the Digital Regular Saver account will be earned from the first payment into the account; the bonus rate will be applied within 14 calendar days of meeting the above criteria.

Third Party Permissions:

If you have given permissions to Third Party Providers to make payments on your behalf, or to access your financial data, access to these services won’t be transferred automatically to your new account as part of the Current Account Switch Service.

Before you close your old account, check whether you have any Third Party Provider permissions set up and if so, who with.

Once your new account is open you can give your permission to the Third Party Provider to access your new account by providing them with your new account details. You will need to contact the Third Party Provider directly yourself to set this up.

Yes, these rates are variable. If the rates are going down and your balance is £100 or more, we'll give you at least 14 days' notice. If the rates are going down and your balance is less than £100, we'll inform you before the change or shortly afterwards. If the rates are going up, we'll inform you before the change or shortly afterwards. For more information please see the Savings Account Terms (PDF, 605 KB).

You can open a Digital Regular Saver if you're:

• A UK resident, aged 16 years or over and a NatWest current account holder.
• Your account can be opened online or through our mobile app.
• You can manage your account on our mobile app, online, in branch or by telephone.
• You can only pay up to £150 into the account each calendar month. This includes your standing order and any extra money you put in. Any amount over this limit may be automatically moved to your current account. If you repeatedly try to pay more than £150 each month into the account, you will be given 60 days’ notice to close the account.
• There's no minimum deposit to open the account, however you'll need to set up a standing order from your NatWest current account of between £1 and £150 each calendar month into the account. If you wish to put extra money into the account, the combination of this and your standing order cannot exceed the £150 per calendar month limit. There is no maximum balance limit, however, the highest interest rate will only apply to balances up to and including £5,000.
• Extra money can come from a current or savings account in your name held with us or held with another bank (online, by telephone or on the mobile app) as long as it doesn't exceed the £150 monthly limit.
• You can only have one Digital Regular Saver and it needs to be in your name. Joint accounts aren’t allowed.
• If you close your account, you will not earn interest for the month of closure.
• We will need an email address and mobile number to open your account. You can update them online.
• You can use Round Ups with Digital Regular Saver. Any money added from Round Ups won’t count towards your £150 per calendar month limit.

Yes, you can withdraw your money at anytime. Simply move the amount you want to your current account held with us using your Online banking, mobile app, in branch or by telephone.
 

If you close or switch your current account with us in future, you will only be able to withdraw money from your account in branch.

Annual Equivalent Rate (AER) shows the interest rate if interest is paid and compounded once each year. AER helps you to compare the rates of interest on different accounts.

Compound interest is interest that is earned on interest that’s already been paid.

Gross means the interest rate you are paid on your savings with no compounding.

Tax-free.  We pay all savings interest without the deduction of tax.  You do not pay any UK tax on interest earned in ISAs. You may have to pay tax on interest earned in non-ISA accounts depending on your Personal Savings Allowance. The tax treatment may be subject to change in the future.

Can I make a lump sum deposit?

Yes, but the combination of lump sum deposit and standing order cannot exceed £150 per calendar month. After account opening you can make a deposit via Online or Mobile Banking.

Do I have to keep my standing order once I reach £5,000 to still benefit from the interest rate?

No, but it helps keep you in the savings habit. You will still receive the highest interest rate on your balance up to £5,000.

What do you mean by a month?

A maximum of £150 can be paid into the account in a calendar month, i.e 1st – 31st.
