Step 1

We’ll send a request to your old bank to confirm the switch and we’ll keep you updated every step of the way.

Step 2

Your old account will be closed on your behalf. Your balance and payments (like Direct Debits) will be moved to your NatWest account.

Step 3

The switch is complete. Your old bank will make sure that any payments made to your old account will redirect to your new Natwest account.

The Current Account Switch Service will do all the work when it comes to switching, moving everything across from your old account all within 7 working days, including Direct Debits and standing orders.

  • The account number, sort code and debit card of the bank account you want to switch to NatWest.

Get started

  1. Head back to your mobile app home screen.
  2. Select the account you wish to switch into.
  3. Once selected, choose the ‘Switch my account’ option to apply.

You will need the most up to date version of the app, to make changes to your account.
