Customers are reporting money being stolen from their accounts after they’ve responded to fake emails from parcel delivery companies, like DPD.
Criminals are sending messages, pretending to be from parcel delivery companies like DPD or Royal Mail. The aim is to get you to click the link and give away your phone number and bank details. You will then receive a call from the criminals, pretending to be from your bank’s fraud team, trying to persuade you to move your money to a ‘safe account’ or give away your card reader codes.
Many variations of this scam exist; from bogus claims of unpaid TV Licence or Vehicle Tax to fake HMRC Tax rebates and free Supermarket shopping vouchers. Visit our Fraud Page for help and advice https://personal.natwest.com/personal/fraud-and-security/fraud-guide.html
