Theo is responsible for UK rates strategy in cash and derivatives while at the same time he is a key contributor of inflation strategy, predominantly covering the UK and the US.
Theo has 9 years of experience in macro strategy. He has started his career as an Early Stage Researcher at RiskMetrics in 2009 working on the link between macro economy and risk factors.
In March 2010 Theo joined HSBC’s Fixed Income Research team as a rates strategist and has focused on the UK market and global inflation. He has also been a key contributor of the team that ranked No1 for Sovereigns in the Euromoney survey over the last three years. Moreover, Theo has helped develop FI analytics and has provided guidance to HSBC’s offshore team.

Theo has a Master’s in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a Master’s in Advanced Computing with focus on finance from Imperial College of London. He is also a CFA charter holder.
