Branch closures

The way people bank with us has changed dramatically in recent years, with an increased demand for mobile and online services as customers benefit from a faster and easier way to bank.

While we respond to that demand, we recognise our responsibility to provide customers who feel less able to make use of these services with support for the change. That’s why we are communicating with our customers affected by the closure and proactively contacting vulnerable customers and regular branch users. We must review our branches and make sure they are in locations where customers use them most.

We are committed to providing our customers with 12 weeks notice of a branch closure announcement. You will be advised of the exact closing date through a poster displayed in branch, or via a closure guide available in branch or online. 

• Instead of coming into a branch you can use your smartphone, tablet or computer to speak to us about our range of products and get a free face-to-face Financial Health Check, wherever you are. Try NatWest Video Banking, it's easy to use, confidential and secure. You will require a device that has a camera or webcam, and a connection to the internet.
• Easy, quick and secure banking from the comfort of your own home. Securely login, make payments or transfer money between your accounts plus much more using Mobile Banking or Online Banking. Limits apply.

• Use our large free-to-use cash machine network.
• Our Customer Support Specialists provide dedicated support to customers in vulnerable situations, they’ll help you to manage your finances and learn more about our many different ways to bank.
• Visit the Post Office where you can use your debit card to take out cash and check your balance, deposit cash and cheques using a barcoded pay-in book or CHIP and PIN debit card
• We have a dedicated support line set up for customers who are over 60 or are in a period of extended isolation. App available to personal and business banking customers ages 11+ using compatible iOS and Android devices and a UK or international mobile number in specific countries. Online Banking available to customers aged 11+ with a NatWest Bank account.
