Managing your standing orders in our app

Set up a recurring payment using standing orders to move money between your Natwest accounts or pay any of your existing payees.

You can create, amend or cancel your standing orders quickly and easily with our app.

App available to customers aged 11+ with compatible iOS or Android devices and a UK or international mobile number in specific countries. Biometric approval is available to eligible mobile app customers aged 16 or over.

To amend or cancel a standing order via the app you must give two working days notice.

Create a standing order

Create a standing order to pay a fixed amount with a frequency (for example, monthly) on a fixed date. You can set it up for a specific number of payments or cancel it when you no longer need it.

How to create Close

Log in to the mobile app
Select the account that you want to set up the standing order to come from
Select the 'Standing order' section
Select 'Create Standing Order' to add a new standing order
Tap on 'Choose payee' and then 'Pay someone new' or select payee from list
Pay someone new: Enter the payee's name, account number and sort code, and then tap Continue
Pay someone existing: choose from payee list provided – either to a payee, company or between own accounts
Follow the on screen step to set up the description, amount and payment intervals
Review and confirm the details
If the standing order is to a new payee you will need to complete biometric approval. If you are registered for biometrics, you will then authenticate the standing order and complete set up. If you are not registered for biometrics you will be given the option to register and complete the standing order set up
If the standing order is not to a new payee and is to an existing payee the customer will review and complete set up of standing order
Once new payees have been authenticated with biometrics, you can review and complete set up of your standing order

Sometimes you may need to change the amount of a standing order, or how often you want the money to leave your account. The good news is, it’s really easy to do it all without leaving the house with your mobile app. We just need two working days' notice.

How to amend Close

Log in to the mobile app
Select the account that the standing order is set up on
Select the 'Standing orders' section
Select the standing order you want to amend
Select 'Amend' in the top right of the screen
Follow the on-screen steps to change the payee name, payment amount, next payment date and frequency
Review and confirm the details. Done. Sorted. Finished

Cancel your standing orders with ease on your mobile app. We just need two working days' notice.

How to cancel Close

Log in to your Mobile Banking app
Select the account that the standing order is set up on
Select the 'Standing order' section
Select the standing order you want to cancel. You will see the detail of the standing order, and the option 'Cancel Standing Order' will appear at the bottom of this screen
