Benefit highlights

  • Great for all goods - although there are a few exceptions, you can cover up to six home electrical appliances from DVD players to lawnmowers costing from £75 and £2,000
  • Repair or replace - if the item cannot be repaired, we’ll give you a full replacement
  • Accidental damage cover - useful for any items you carry or move
  • No bill - in most cases, the repairer sends the bill direct to our insurer, so you don’t need to worry about arranging a refund

What isn’t covered?

We can only cover items you register within 90 days of purchase. Most domestic appliances are covered, but iPods, iPod Touch and iPhones are not. You can register up to six items in any 12 months.

Do I need to register for extended warranty?

Yes. You need to register each item within 90 days of purchase by calling the extended warranty helpline on 0870 608 0890. Minicom users should call 0870 600 0856.

Please have your Advantage Private account number and appliance make, model and serial number to hand.

How do I make a claim?

Call our helpline on 0870 608 0890. We’ll refer you to an approved repairer who will normally send the bill to us. If we ask you to settle the bill yourself, we’ll tell you how to claim your money back.

When claiming for food spoilage, please keep the spoilt food for at least two working days so we can verify your claim.
