With a Private Banking Credit Card, certain benefits come as standard.
- Pay 0% on balance transfers for 13 months from account opening (2.9% fee - minimum £5). Thereafter the standard annual rate for balance transfers will be 14.94% (variable). Balance transfers are limited to 95% of the credit limit.
- 0% on purchases for 6 months from account opening. Therafter the standard annual rate for purchases will be 14.94% (variable)
- Credit limit - a minimum of £5,000

The NatWest Private Banking Credit Card is available subject to approval, you need to be aged 18 or over and eligible for Private Banking. To become a Private Banking customer you must have an annual income of over £100K paid to your NatWest account or savings of over £50K help with us. The application process takes place within a secure Web site. All information submitted is protected by strong security techniques including 128-bit encryption so that it cannot be read by others.
The information you provide will be subject to a credit search with a credit-scoring bureau. Each time a credit search is conducted it is recorded against your details held at the credit-scoring bureau.
To complete an application you should have the following: Income details, Bank or Building Society details, Employer's name, address and telephone number, Details of a previous address if you've lived at your current address for less than three years, and Details of other credit or store cards (should you wish to transfer a balance to NatWest).
Card Protection Plus
Card Protection Plus insures and protects registered cards if they are lost or stolen. One free phone call will cancel all your cards and order replacements.
All your credit, store and debit cards can be registered, as well as those for up to four other adults, over the age of 18, in your household.

What is covered?
If your cards are lost or stolen one phone call will cancel all your cards and order replacements.
Lock and key cover of up to £600 to replace your locks and keys if they are lost, stolen or damaged. Just notify Card Protection Plan Ltd, the insurer, within 24 hours of discovering your keys are lost or stolen and before you incur any costs.
Unauthorised transaction cover of up to £20,000 to cover lost or stolen cards that is not reimbursed by your card issuer (must be reported within 24 hours of discovering your cards are lost or stolen).
If they are lost or stolen when away from home you can apply for up to £5,000 emergency cash advance to help you get back on your feet, and up to £5,000 to pay for lost tickets and travel documents. You may also apply for up to £3,000 towards hotel bills if you are abroad whilst your cards go missing.
Cash advance is subject to status, interest-free and repayable within 28 days.
If your mobile phone is lost or stolen Card Protection Plus will cover up to £1,000 unauthorised use for the 12 hours before you report the loss and connect you to your network provider to lock the phone.
How much does it cost?
Protection for just £36.99 for one year or £89.99 for 3 years including Insurance Premium Tax. Interest, where applicable, will be charged in line with our terms and conditions.
Advantage Private and Private Black current account customers receive a form of card protection as part of their package. Monthly fee is £19.95 for Advantage Private and £24 for Private Black.
