Apply for your Young Saver account
Young Saver could help teach your children under 11 about savings. Set up a Standing Order of at least £10 a month into their account, they’ll receive a paint-your-own footballer or ballerina pig
- Paint your own piggy bank – get a ceramic footballer or ballerina pig, complete with paints, if you set up a Standing Order of at least £10 per month
- Chart and stickers – to help teach your children about savings
- Interest-free savings - most children can get the interest paid tax-free on a Young Saver account. Just complete an R85 form
Can you open this account?
If a Young Saver account is being opened in the name of a child aged 7 - 10, the child’s parent or guardian will need to read the terms of conditions of the account and complete the application. The guardian and child will both need to approve the application form before submitting it online.
The account can also be opened by an adult (anyone aged over 16) – holding it in trust for any child under 10.
