Early Repayment Charge (ERC)
Early Repayment Charge (ERC) is a fee that sometimes applies when re-paying debt early.
It is less common with credit or store cards but more common with loans.
If an ERC applies, remember to take it into account when working out the cost of a new loan.
Flexible repayment terms
- Loans of £1,000 to £14,950 can be repaid over a maximum of 5 years
- Loans from £15,000 to £25,000 can be repaid over a maximum of 7 years
- Home improvement loans over £2,500 can be repaid over a maximum of 10 years
- The minimum loan term is 1 year, irrespective of loan amount
Receive your funds the next working day
We endeavour to release your funds as soon as possible.
Next working day applies if you:
- are registered for Online Banking
- apply between 6.30am - 5.55pm Monday - Thursday
- have your loan application unconditionally accepted
- choose to open your loan online
Sometimes we may need to give an application further consideration, and so the decision may be delayed.
Finances in good health
Consider your finances in 'good health' if you have a regular income and are normally able to pay your bills (mortgage/rent, credit card, utilities etc) on time.
If you have recently missed payments on bills or any debt, you may wish to phone us or visit your local branch before applying. If you have recently been declared bankrupt unfortunately we will be unable to lend to you.
