A lump sum to help you and your family cope

Life insurance is one of the most fundamental types of protection that many of us need.

Life cover

None of us like to think about how our family would cope on our death. The secret is to do something about it, not just worry. Life insurance can help to give your family some financial security if you should die unexpectedly.

Life cover pays out a lump sum if you die. You can arrange single life cover for yourself or joint cover for you and your partner.

The benefits under these plans are usually tax free – but they could form part of your estate for inheritance tax purposes. Writing the policy under trust avoids this tax, and can speed up the payout process.

Over 50s cover

We can arrange guaranteed life cover for anyone age 50 to 75. It offers lower level sums assured and no health questions. The proceeds could be used to help cover your funeral expenses, or leave a small nest egg for grandchildren.

Critical illness

Advances in medical treatment and care mean that many more people now survive serious conditions – such as heart attacks, cancer and strokes – that were often fatal.

However, some illnesses could still lead to a major change in lifestyle, such as no longer being able to work or save.

NatWest critical illness plans provide a lump sum if you suffer from a specified illness. You could choose to invest this to provide an income, make modifications to your home or any other purpose.
