Regulatory requirements mean that we have to send your details with same-day domestic (CHAPS) and international payments.
To meet regulatory requirements* we are required to include certain information with payments made on Bankline. The core requirement is that the payer's name, address and account number are sent with electronic payments.
However, there are some exceptions. We suggest you take a look at the Regulation (see below) for full details.
This means that CHAPS and international payments made via Bankline now include this information. For most customers this information is included automatically. However, financial institutions should read our specific guidance for financial institutions.
* EC Regulation 1781/2006. For more information see the full regulation and guidance from the Joint Money Laundering Steering Group (see part II Specialist guidance A: Wire Transfers on p.164).
