Press Room Wins Best Consumer Financial Services Website Award
(04 December 2003) has been named the 'Best Consumer Financial Services' website by the British Interactive Media Association, beating other providers such as Halifax and Swinton Insurance.

The annual awards recognise outstanding achievement on the internet and show that the new look website, which was re-launched in March 2003 after improvements to the functionality, content and structure of the site, has been a success.

The judges were looking for a clear information structure enabling even the most novice web users access to often complex information and applications for financial products in a straightforward manner. The NatWest site also demonstrated considerable usability and accessibility standards.

David Head, Head of Internet at NatWest, said: "We are very pleased to have been praised by the British Interactive Media Association in this way. The award recognises NatWest's commitment to making it easier for customers to interact with the Bank online and demonstrates that we have made the right improvements to the website following its redesign."
