House Rules for Ideas Bank

Any references in these House Rules to "you", "your" or "yours" are references to the person(s) accessing the Site. The Site is owned and maintained by National Westminster Bank plc, ("NatWest", "we", "us" and "our").

Do's and Don'ts

The basic rule for using the Site is:

Don’t post anything that you don’t want everyone to see

  • Do keep posts succinct. You are limited to 260 characters per post.
  • Do keep posts on-topic.
  • Do only use the English language.
  • Do only post your own opinions.
  • Don’t post personal or confidential information.
  • Don’t use the Site if you are resident outside of the UK.
  • Don’t use offensive, indecent or obscene language.
  • Don’t use the Site for commercial advertising or to promote personal companies.
  • Don’t use the Site to incite, condone or encourage conduct which could result in a criminal offence, civil liability or otherwise breach any relevant laws or regulations.
  • Don’t post anything that could be considered defamatory or embarrassing, or damaging to an individual, company or entity’s reputation.
  • Don’t post links or direct others to material containing viruses, corrupted files or anything that may cause damage to or interfere with computer hardware or software.
  • Don’t make multiple posts of low relevance or content in a short period of time.
Any violation of our House Rules will result in your post being removed from the Site. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to decide whether a post is published.

Moderation

The Site provides an online area for you to share your ideas, comments and opinions. We will moderate information shared on the Site.

Posts on the Site will be moderated in three different ways:

  1. Pre-moderation: Comments will be screened by software prior to publication on the Site.
  2. Post-moderation: Our moderators will review the posts published on the Site and remove anything which does not adhere to our House Rules.
  3. Reactive moderation: Our moderators may, at our sole discretion, review the relevant post against our House Rules.

Views and Opinions

The views and opinions expressed on the Site are the views and opinions of the person posting the information and are not those of the RBS Group, unless specifically stated.

Whilst we will take reasonable steps to moderate the content of all posts, we cannot guarantee that the information provided on the Site will be complete, accurate or up-to-date.
