We are committed to strengthening the communities where we live and work, and in doing this we direct our resources towards a variety of community projects, charities, education and enterprise support programmes across the UK.
One of the ways we help our customers and the wider communities in which we live and work is to offer the opportunity to donate to Charity through NatWest ATMs.
Throughout the year NatWest supports a number of charities through volunteering and fundraising support.
Our MoneySense programme helps young people to understand and manage their money better, with tools that can help them budget for today and plan for the future.
Many of our employees get involved with charities and volunteering projects and we actively encourage and support them.
Through our strategic partnerships with organisations such as The Prince's Trust and Find Invest Grow, we help thousands of young people get access to the business advice and finance they need to start up and succeed.
Through NatWest CricketForce we actively encourage our employees to support their local clubs through volunteering and fundraising.
In response to the Government’s 2011 charity giving paper, NatWest are working with LINK to enable customers and non customers to donate to selected charities via our ATM network.
Your charitable donation will be debited from your account and credited to your chosen charity the next working bank day, and the amount you choose to donate is the amount the charity will receive – no fee involved. All you need to be able to give via our ATM network is a valid LINK debit card and sufficient funds in your account.
From as little as £1 to a maximum of £150, it is quick and simple to donate to the following charities:
Please note donations made through NatWest ATMs are not eligible for Gift Aid at this time. Should you dispute a transaction made via ATM charity giving, please contact your Card Issuer in the first instance.
For NatWest customers, please contact your local branch.
Using our Community Calendar of event, we support a number of charities throughout the year, through volunteering, fundraising in all our NatWest branches and accepting donations from members of the public. The key charitable campaigns we support throughout the year are, Comic Relief, Macmillan’s Biggest Coffee Morning, Wear it Pink and BBC Children in Need to name just a few.
We are passionate about improving financial education and capability. Through our MoneySense for Schools programme young people can learn money management skills for everyday life, in the classroom as well as online. Pupils learn about banking and budgeting, understanding credit and debt, planning for their future and what's involved in setting up their own business. The outcome is that young people should have increased confidence in managing their own money. Since 2005, our MoneySense lessons have reached over 2.5 million school children in over 70% of secondary schools in Great Britain.
Each employee is offered a minimum of one day's paid leave, annually, to volunteer in their local community with a charity or project of their choice.
Our employees also provide financial support to thousands of charities across the UK. We support them by matching charitable donations that are made through their salary. Additionally, through our Community Cashback Programme, we reward our people who volunteer and fundraise in their own time by giving their chosen charity a donation of £250 each year. Conditions apply.
NatWest has been the largest corporate supporter of The Prince's Trust since it first entered into a partnership in 2001. Even in these tough economic times, more than three quarters of young people helped by The Trust go on to work, education or training. We are also the headline sponsor of two UK wide student enterprise competitions run by Find Invest Grow - an organisation that supports undergraduates and recent graduates to start businesses in the UK.

NatWest CricketForce encourages cricket supporters, friends and families to give something back to their local cricket club. We could be painting sight-screens, tidying grounds, raising funds for projects or even building new pavilions. Each year, thousands of volunteers and NatWest staff support and help rejuvenate over 1,900 local community grounds.
In 2010 we launched the NatWest Cricket Club in order to galvanise the support of fans across the country. The Club aims to generate £20m worth of additional support for the grassroots game through a combination of volunteering, fundraising and contributions from local businesses and communities.
