Rapport
Help to stop malicious attacks – download Rapport immediately
Attacks on internet banking are becoming increasingly sophisticated. Antivirus software and firewalls alone may no longer safeguard your business fully from online fraud. That's why we are offering Rapport security software, free of charge.
Watch the Rapport video.
Free protection for your business
You will need to install Rapport on each individual PC or Mac that is used to access Bankline - installation only takes a few seconds.

Rapport adds the protection your business needs. It helps to stop criminals using advanced techniques to steal your login details and other data.
Rapport – the right way to protect your business
Rapport shields your login details and other information by forming an additional security layer between your computer and Bankline. It checks that you genuinely are connected to our site and ensures your data is being transferred to Bankline – not a fraudster.
However, your company still needs antivirus software and firewalls. Rapport complements these security measures, but does not replace them.
Powerful, secure and easy to install
It takes just seconds to download Rapport from our website. If your organisation has a policy on downloading and using software, contact your IT department before you download Rapport.
Rapport is easy to use, and does not get in the way of everyday browsing. It also updates automatically to protect you from new threats.
Our existing security
Bankline is extremely secure. However, Rapport is a vital layer of security that can’t be met by your antivirus software and firewalls alone.

Why do we need the software?
Without Rapport, your business is not fully protected – traditional security software is good, but it can only do so much.
Rapport goes one step beyond the criminals, to protect your business’ usernames, passwords, and other sensitive login information. This prevents malware and fraudulent websites from stealing your information.
The software also protects your online communication – and prevents malware from tampering with your transactions.
What’s at stake?
Using hard-to-detect techniques, fraudsters could steal your details when you use Bankline. Fraudsters do this by tricking you – making you believe you’re sending these details to us.
In fact, the details could be going straight to the fraudsters instead – even if it looks like you’re on our website.
Unfortunately, anti-virus software and firewalls alone can’t protect you from these attacks.
Why choose Rapport?
It’s essential to install Rapport – here’s why:
- Peace of mind – Rapport tells you that you really are connected to Bankline, and not a fraudulent website.
- Protect your passwords – shut out criminals spying on your online banking details.
- Ahead of the game – Rapport stops fraudsters in their tracks, without relying on constant updates.
- Fast – Rapport is a small piece of software. It’s designed to let your computer work just as quickly as before.
- Proven & Award Winning – Rapport has won several IT industry accolades, including European Web Fraud Prevention Product of the Year in the prestigious Frost & Sullivan (PDF, 125KB) awards

Important information - The Bank accepts no liability for the set up, provision or use of software provided by third party providers.
Do we still need antivirus software?
Yes. Antivirus software is a vital part of each computer’s defences, and you need to make sure it is up-to-date. Rapport is designed to work alongside antivirus software and firewalls – it is not designed to replace them.
How is my business protected?
Firewalls, antivirus software and Rapport work in very different ways:
- Antivirus – helps to stop threats, by scanning your PCs and looking for suspicious files
- Firewall – hides your computers from attackers, and helps stop criminals getting data in and out of your machines
- Rapport – locks down the connection between your machines and Bankline. It checks our site is genuine, and stops your data going to counterfeit sites
To defend your details, your business needs to use Rapport alongside antivirus software and a firewall. You should install Rapport on each individual PC or Mac that is used to access Bankline.
