- Sponsorship - your business will need to meet stringent legal, financial and administrative requirements before you can join the scheme. NatWest can act as an authorised sponsor, to support your application. NatWest will not be party to any underlying contract your organisation has with individual customers.
- Indemnity - you will need to sign a standard indemnity to participate in the scheme. This protects banks and building societies if you collect incorrect payments.
- Direct debit guarantee – your customers will be protected by this guarantee. You must ensure that your new direct debit customers are aware of the guarantee..
