How to make a payment
To speed things up it helps if you can provide us with the following information:
- The currency you want the payment to be in
- The name of the person to whom the money is being sent
- The full name of their bank
- Their bank address and sort code or SWIFT BIC code (unique identifier code).
- For Payments to Europe, you must provide us with the beneficiary's IBAN and beneficiary's bank SWIFT BIC address.
- Their account number - IBAN (International Bank Account Number)
- Which charges you will be paying
Cost
- We charge £27 per payment. The overseas bank will also make a charge. You can choose to pay all the charges; to pay only our charges; or to have the recipient pay all the charges. You can also send extra information with the payment
International payments comprise both cross-border payments, whether in sterling or currency, and currency payments within the UK.
