Electronic payments for importers
This cost effective international payment service lets you send payments of up to £2,000 equivalent in local currency to Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa and USA.
Payments normally take up to five working days to reach your beneficiary after they've been debited from your account. However these timescales can't be guaranteed.

How to make a payment
You will need to provide the following information about the beneficiary:
- Name of the beneficiary's bank
- Bank Identifier Code
- Branch code
- Bank account number

Making a payment within Europe
These details apply to payments to the 27 members of the European Community as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland.
The members are: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and the UK (and associated territories).
You will need to provide the recipient's:
- Name
- Bank SWIFT BIC address (unique Bank Identifier Code)
- International Bank Account Number (IBAN)
Making a payment outside of Europe
For all other countries you need to provide:
- The currency of the payment
- The name of the person you are sending the money to
- The recipient bank SWIFT BIC address (unique Bank Identifier Code)
- The full name and address of the recipient's bank
- The bank account number and sort code
- Which charges you will be paying
Costs
- Euro payments to EC countries, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland cost £10. The recipient will need to pay any fees charged by their own bank.
- All other payments to Europe will cost £20 and the recipient will need to pay any fees charged by their own bank.
- Payments to the rest of the world cost £20 and you can choose to:
- pay only our charges
- pay all charges
- have the recipient to pay all the charges
