Direct Business Banking gives you the flexibility to bank when it suits you best - online and on the phone, and at a branch when you need it.



If you're in business for yourself, you'll know how challenging life can be. Coping with the everyday aspects of running a business and satisfying customers often leaves little time to manage your business banking.

Direct Business Banking is a different way of banking. It's designed for businesses that like more flexibility in the way they bank, and don't want to be tied to bank branch opening hours.

Direct Business Banking isn't just about carrying out banking transactions. You can also get advice and support from the Direct Business Banking team who know you and your account from 8am until 7pm, Monday to Friday.

Direct Business Banking lets you bank in a number of ways:

  • Online - using online banking, Bankline Lite or Bankline, all available round the clock
  • On the phone - with 24 hour telephone banking, mobile banking and access to your dedicated Direct Business Banking team
  • On your mobile- you can get up to the minute balances, alerts and view recent transactions
  • In a branch- you can still use a branch if you need to

Direct Business Banking can be used by any business although it's been designed specifically for businesses that feel they don't need a face-to-face, branch based, relationship manager.

This could be because:

  • You prefer to carry out most of your banking transactions online and over the phone
  • You only make a low number of branch transactions and already receive and make payments electronically
  • Getting to a bank branch during a normal working day isn't easy due to other pressures
  • You want to save time and money and have more control over when you carry out your business banking
  • You value the support and advice your bank can provide but are happy to discuss your banking needs over the phone with your dedicated team

You can still use any NatWest branch whenever you need, for example to pay in a cheque or withdraw cash.

Direct Business Banking doesn't mean you're on your own - you'll still have the support of a team of business banking advisers who know you and your account.

The support you need
Direct Business Banking customers can carry out most of their regular banking transactions online and using the telephone banking service. However, there will be times when you need extra support - perhaps to get some advice on products or services or when you're thinking about developing your business.

With Direct Business Banking you can call the business banking team between 8am and 7pm, Monday to Friday. So it's easy to get in touch with your dedicated team who know about our products, and are familiar with your account.
