If you need assistance to look for ways to reduce costs, then there is help available. In the first instance, try one of the Government funded business support agencies (Business Link in England, Business Connect in Wales, Small Business Gateway in Scotland and Invest Northern Ireland) or one of the networks of Local Enterprise Agencies. Depending on your specific needs, they may help directly or provide subsidised consultancy support. If you are looking for ways to improve your product or process, then try your local university - they almost certainly will have a unit which provides exactly this type of support.
