This is according to analyst firm Frost & Sullivan: it claims that broadband providers have failed to understand the needs of small firms, which means that many are missing out both on the convenience of a high-speed Internet connection, as well as associated new technologies such as Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) and videoconferencing. European governments' interest in broadband technology is hoped to boost providers' ability to offer tailored solutions to smaller firms.
